Each guest left STEP México 2026 with a duck. 🦆

There was an intention behind it. A duck presents a serene figure above the waterline — gliding in faultless order. What escapes the eye is the ceaseless manoeuvring beneath it, by which the whole composure is maintained.

A family’s structure is much the same. An adviser designs it and sets it elegantly in place; yet a structure cannot glide unattended. It must be kept in motion — and that requires a steady fiduciary hand.

This is the work beneath the surface, and clients seldom see it: the bookkeeping, the fiscal filings, the reporting and assessments, the AML compliance, the discreet correspondence with banks. Not elegant work, perhaps — but work that must be done properly, for done otherwise it carries legal and fiscal consequences of real weight. It is the quiet, unceasing labour by which a structure continues to do precisely what it was designed to do, year upon year. As fiduciary, this is what we are entrusted to carry — that all above the waterline might remain serene.

And should an adviser arrive with a notion worth pursuing, we are tolerably good company for it besides: a management consultancy of some distinction — so recognised several years in succession — content to work alongside the profession rather than around it.

It was an honour to have served as Cocktail Sponsor of the STEP México Seminario Anual 2026, and a greater one still to have passed the evening as one ought: in fine company, and in the renewal of old friendships.

So when the hour comes to see a family’s ducks set in good order — and, rather more to the point, kept so — please do give us a call. We may well be able to help.
